We aim to reply within a few working days. Reports of a wrong figure jump the queue — an incorrect number is worse than a missing feature, so those get looked at first.

Reporting a wrong figure
This is the most useful message you can send us. Corrections from people who actually receive these payslips have caught errors that no amount of re-reading the published tables would have found.
To make a report quick to act on, please include the grade or pay point you selected, the country you chose, and what the calculator showed against what your payslip shows. A screenshot of the relevant payslip line with your personal details removed is ideal. We do not need your name, employer or payroll number, and we would rather you did not send them.
If the difference comes from something the calculator does not model — a local allowance, an unusual contract, a mid-year tax code change — we will say so plainly rather than pretend the figure was right.
What we can and cannot help with
We can help with: corrections to pay scales, allowances or pension rates; explaining how a figure on the site was calculated; requests for a grade, rank or band we have not covered yet; accessibility problems; and press or research enquiries about the data behind the site.
We cannot help with: individual financial, tax or pension advice; disputes with your employer or payroll department; chasing an underpayment; confirming what you personally will be paid; or anything that needs access to your actual payroll record. We are not financial advisers, accountants or tax agents, and answering those questions properly needs someone who is — and who can see your real record.
For a genuine payroll problem, your payroll department, your union or a qualified adviser are the right route. For tax code queries, HMRC can see your record and we cannot.
